Scott Madsen
The officers and membership of the NGCA are deeply saddened by
the unexpected passing of club member Scott Madsen on October 8,
2010. He was 56. Scott, a member since 1998, owned and operated
Madsen Auto Restoration in Mine Hill, NJ and utilized his expertise
on many club members’ cars. Scott was well known in the Corvette
hobby and has built and/or restored many top level Corvettes and
muscle cars. His smile, friendship and knowledgeable conversations
will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathy to his wife and family.
Don Ciardi
The officers and membership of the NGCA are shocked and saddened
by the unexpected passing of Don Ciardi on October 31, 2010. He
was 57. Don, a member since 2003, was part of the core foundation
of the club. He exuded enthusiasm and love for Corvettes, the club
and more importantly, the people. Everyone who knew Don was touched
by his smile, dedication and friendship. His friendship was limitless.
His dedication was unparalleled. His smile meant you were talking
to a true friend. Few members put as much time and energy into our
club as Don. He will always remain in our hearts.
Ray Carney
The officers and members mourn the passing of Club member Ray Carney.
Ray, a member since 1996, was a special man who always made new
members feel welcome when they joined the Club. He was a multi-faceted
individual who worked tirelessly to promote the club and the Corvette
hobby. He was a Master Ambassador to the National Corvette Museum.
It was an honor to have such a dedicated, enthusiastic and devoted
person as a cornerstone of our Club. Our deepest sympathy to his
family.
